We behave as if we have an unlimited supply of time.

We waste hours scrolling through meaningless content and then complain that we don't have time to read. We postpone conversations. We postpone trips. We postpone hobbies. We postpone becoming the person we keep saying we want to become.

Tomorrow is one of humanity's favorite inventions.

Tomorrow is where everything happens. Tomorrow I'll start. Tomorrow I'll call. Tomorrow I'll change. Tomorrow I'll travel. Tomorrow I'll take care of myself.

And then, eventually, tomorrow becomes yesterday.

The strange thing about time is that you only understand its value after it has already disappeared. Money can be recovered. Things can be replaced. Time doesn't negotiate.

This doesn't mean we should become obsessed with productivity. That would simply create another prison. Doing nothing can be valuable. Wasting time intentionally is different from wasting it unconsciously.

There is a difference between sitting quietly because you want to and spending three hours scrolling because you forgot why you picked up the phone.

Maybe a good life isn't about squeezing productivity out of every minute. Maybe it's about becoming more conscious of what we are spending our minutes on.

Because eventually, the minutes become years. And years become the life we had.

That's the part nobody can refund.
