๐ฅ Mezcal Cocktail
Naked and Famous
Mezcal, yellow Chartreuse, Aperol, lime, all in equal parts. A modern classic built like a Last Word but smoky instead of herbal-forward. Deceptively easy to make, genuinely hard to stop drinking.
๐งช Ingredients
- 20ml mezcal
- 20ml yellow Chartreuse
- 20ml Aperol
- 20ml fresh lime juice
๐ Method
- Add all four ingredients to a shaker with ice, in equal 20ml parts.
- Shake hard for 12-15 seconds until well chilled.
- Double-strain into a chilled coupe.
- No garnish required; the drink is already visually striking on its own.
Bartender's Notes
Equal parts of four assertive ingredients sounds risky, but it balances beautifully; smoke from the mezcal, herbal sweetness from the Chartreuse, bitter orange from the Aperol, and acid from the lime all arrive in roughly equal measure. Use a mezcal that isn't too aggressively smoky for your first attempt.
